Shopping for the baby

My mom, Gabe and I spent last Saturday shopping. It was a lot of fun. Gabe was great until the last store, where he got pretty loud (I have to say he made it from 11:30 to about 4:00 so I think acting up in the last store is only expected of a two year old. Anyway we got the baby lots of great things. Mom had already bought her bedding for her room. Then we found a few things at Hobby Lobby (my favorite store)that looked like they were made for the bedding.


We also found lots of cute outfits and sleepers. I even got her her first halter top (Jake didn't like the idea) but it has to be the cutest one of them all. Now I just need to get hair bows, polka dot tights and shoes. I can't wait!!!! Here are a few pictures of what we got.

Baby Names?!!

I might go crazy over this. We started with a list of over 27 names! I thought we had it down to three earlier today and then I pulled out the list again. Guess what it grew back up to five. So I want to know what everybody else thinks. In the end it is going to be up to me, Jake and Gabe but it would be fun to find out what other people think. So here they are- Sophie, Presley, Rilie, Charlie, and Campbell.


Gabe can't even make up his mind. Every time we ask him what her name is he has a different name. Yesterday he added a new one to the list- Chapstick. What do you think of that one?!

It's a girl!!!!

I just got back from the doctor. I can't believe it and I don't think many in our family can believe it. Gabe is having a little sister!!! We were almost so sure that it was going to be a boy that we haven't talked much about girl names. We had it down to two boys names and about a list of twenty or so girls names. Jake hates the ones I like and I hate the ones he likes. I think we are in some trouble.

Anyway, the more I think about it the more excited I get. I get to do pigtails, little pink dresses, and polka dot shoes. I can't wait!!!

It's hard to believe that he is already 2. Like Buffy here at the office said today he will be in college before I can turn around. I makes me so sad but watching him grow and learn new things is sooooo much fun. I can have a complete conversation with him now. He can count to ten (when he wants to). He sings parts of songs and he knows most of the colors (when he wants to). He has become a little boy in just the last few months. He is no longer my baby, but I guess with one on the way, that is a good thing. Now we just have to work on the potty but I think I'm the one that needs help with that.
